Announcement – Lloyd Weston

It is with great sadness that we must announce that Lloyd Weston, one of your club’s trustees and long standing member, has passed away on 25th December.

Lloyd and Val have been active members of our club in their younger years and were often seen on the river in their boats Dawn Seamaster 22 and Sherna, their Sola 32, kept on the boat house moorings.

Lloyd joined the club 30 years ago, becoming a member of the committee in 1998, finally serving as a flag officer for a number of years.

Lloyd was instrumental in obtaining authority from the environment agency and making a successful application for planning permission from the council for the construction of our club slipway.

Funeral details will be announced by email once known.

Our thoughts are with Val and his family. May he rest in peace.
