Moorings on the Great Stour
Reserve Your Space

There are limited temporary moorings available on the North Bank at the club for members and their guests. To enquire and reserve, especially for overnight stays, please contact us.

Plucks Gutter

If you fancy a stop for something to eat or drink, we have a mooring available at Plucks Gutter for members only on a first-come first-served basis. You may need to raft up with fellow members in the summer, but that’s part of the fun!

Just across the river, accessible by foot from the mooring, is the Dog and Duck Inn.

Red House Picnic Area

Members of the Grove Ferry Boat Club are welcome to visit the Red House Picnic Area along the Great Stour.

Nestled away from the hustle and bustle of every day life, not a car or house in sight and nothing other than the sounds of wildlife. There is plenty of area to explore within the picnic area.

Note: The Club’s mooring is the large wooden pontoon located at the Eastern side of the picnic area. This was refurbished in 2024 with non-slip DeckSafe and refurbished bollards.

Camping at Grove Ferry

Tow your caravan along to the Grove Ferry Boat Club before heading off along the river. After a long day on the water, relax in comfort alongside the river. We have one plot available for members with an electricity point for convenience. Grab yourself a spot at the river’s edge and spend the night under canvas. Watch the sunset and listen to the wildlife around you whilst planning for the day ahead. See the river in a different light as the sun rises in morning.

There is plenty of space to put up your tent but reserve yourself the river side and treat yourself.
